Fincas and Floods

Last week my Spanish teacher took me to visit a finca (farm/plantation) in her home town of Pastores, about five minutes by chicken bus outside of Antigua. Carmen, mi maestra, showed me her home as well. Pastores was flooded and had considerable damage near the local river last year and is now preparing for this rain season, which we re in the beginning of.

    Howdy Son!

Was so good to hear your voice last night. That was the highlight of the day for your dad, and me! Your photos are gorgeous, and it looks like you have extended your family even more internationally. Dad just called and said that they officially closed Cain yesterday. Wonder what Ms Donna will be doing! Take care and write before you take off for Chile. Got your postcard and as you said, will add to our collection!!!
Much love to you, Mom and Dad
