Bye Brazil (a month later)

Trip to Brazil

Oh it was fantastic to get to visit my friends in Brazil. I didn’t do many things there, but I did get to know Sâo Paulo more than ever before. I made some new friends - Tiago and Felipe. Great guys. A funny from my last day:

Felipe is taking me to the airport to catch my plane, let me give some background - this was his third time in a week to go to the airport. Well we are on the road for a good thirty minutes or more and he realizes he has been driving in the opposite direction. Oh no. Well I miss the flight and have to wait several hours for the next flight to Santiago - at no extra cost. Thank you very much LAN. The greatest part of the morning was Felipe saying a prayer instead of becoming mad and this ease of mind came over me with the realization, “I’m not in control. There is nothing I can do.”

¡Vote!

Vote for Kinky

Hello all,

Well today is election day in the midterm elections. I am far far away from the USA at the moment, but have already arranged to stay at some friends’ house tonight to watch CNN - there is a three hour difference between Texas and Chile at the moment, eck!

I was in Brazil during the recent runoff presidential election. In Brazil, voting is required and was interesting to see people so passionate about some thing that they had to do, by law.

SO! Please get out today and vote. I personally am behind Kinky Friedman, but more than that it is important that you use your voting power.
